Something refreshing sonically that gives us a view into genius with Love (the) Ominous World.

The first thing to be said about Love (the) Ominous World is that it's extremely refreshing to hear the blueprint of Hip Hop being pushed on this project, from the way the rhymes are delivered to even the scratches on some of the records. From start to finish, the Rhymes are fresh and honest. Though many of the lines are witty, you can feel them deeply. The production carries the sonic space of being one of a kind and you can tell that the delivery for this project will never be duplicated, which makes it extremely special. This is a Gem in the wide variety of West Coast-style tracks. You can tell the Los Angeles Duo Blu & Exile put a lot of heart and soul into the records on the project. The synchronicity between the production and the emcees is seamless. A beautiful representation of embodying the beats and pouring your heart and craft into every verse dropped. A beautiful rehearsal of heartfelt Hip Hop. This was executed well in all aspects.

“Smack”- This record is fresh; the production is big and full and has a beautiful instrumentation of sounds. The rhymes compliment the production perfectly, they don't clash, but aid each other and paint a beautiful picture. It seems like he’s painting a picture of Los Angeles, visually I can see the Westcoast culture, the Los Angeles culture. The lyricism is top tier but he is definitely representing where he is from. Fashawn's verse was a beautiful addition and anchor. The elite rhymer came in fiercely with his tone but the production switch allows you to feel the delivery and lyrics being said. Every verse blended well; the lines hit hard displaying perfected lyricism but sonically it was a beautiful blend. The scratches on the record allow you to see they respect that particular aspect of Hip Hop.

“Homies” has production that is extremely soulful and smooth. This track is an ode to his homies, people he came up trucking through in life. A beautiful heartfelt record saluting the ones he loves, those whom he appreciates. The lyrics show his perspective of how much he values those particular individuals. The chorus is truly touching, the lines bring you into a vulnerable state of appreciation. This record definitely makes you think of those that you have in life. The Features of Pistol McFly & Cashus King. With the lyrics being said by the featured artist you can spot there's a rich history there between Blue and his fellow rhymers. It goes to show that you can definitely come up with your people “Tryna work a dream, turn a thought into some cream.”

“Suge Knight” is a track telling a story about what would've happened if he signed to Death Row Records. It shows a brilliant skill to paint a vivid story while keeping the rhymes and delivery sharp. The record allows you to visualize all of the events that take place through the 3 verses. The production is heavy-hitting, with heavy drums, and wants sounds like eerie synths and horns to bridge the verses and chorus. Though he didn't sign to death row he definitely turned out all good!

“The Ominous World” comes in with strong vocals, though he displays his rhyming capabilities on all the records this record really shows his style and how sharp his sword is lyrically. The production carries sonically the flavor of early 90’s Westcoast Hip Hop. This is a strong track with the feel of a huge riot, a rebellious feel, and an activist sound. This is an anthem of some sort for those who are making the statement they will stand to be different.

“A song called Precipitation" has this concept of precipitation and rain. The sample/vocalist that sings throughout the record helps the record sound full but adds pleasing variety sonically. This song is extremely encouraging and has a good feel and vibe. He rhymes with the tone of inspiration to continue to push forward in life no matter where you are located. This is a beautiful record with an interesting concept, one that is well executed. The production is flawless and the rhyming carries well on the production. Well, balanced artistically, shows you that his creative genius is still strong.
