Tulsa based award-winning singer-songwriter Casii Stephan has teamed up with Nashville based social justice warrior and songwriter Crys Matthews and Alabama based prolific musician Jay Burgess for a new important single. Called "Law & Order", the song marks the first collaboration for the three musicians who are each acclaimed in their own right.

With "Law & Order", the three write a song all about how horrible racism is and how sometimes it is pervasive in their hometowns in the Southern United States. Jay Burgess begins the song as he sings to his state of Alabama. Lyrics including "Still straddling right and wrong / Sometimes it's hard to call you home," shows how he condemns the backwards politics that are often found in the state. Casii then sings her verse, "Hey Oklahoma / You have your limits / Here in Tulsa / We are still divided / Yea the massacre it burned," referencing the horrific race riot led by the white supremisists in the area. The poignant song continues with Crys Matthews as she sings to her state of Tennessee, "When it's hate and fear / That you revere," ending the track on a powerful note. Musically, "Law & Order" features expansive folk rock rhythms and impassioned vocals. The chorus is layered, anthemic and full of heart and soul. The song is an important battle cry for fighting injustice and racism.

Casii Stephan has built a successful career for herself performing at major festivals around the US. Her music often blends genres including soul, pop, rock and folk. Crys Matthews is a folk/Americana singer-songwriter and a social justice warrior who has built a fervent fanbase worldwide. Jay Burgess is a musician, songwriter and producer as well as frontman to The Pollies. Together the three have created an impactful song that should be added to your favorite playlist.
